Year 6 Trip to PGL – A message from Mrs Mace
Our Year 6 students spent 3 amazing days at PGL this week. Each one demonstrated the school values to the highest degree and made us very proud to see them at their finest. They tackled a 3 story climbing ladder in teams, zip wired by the lake, competed against each other at aero ball, screamed very, very loudly on the giant swing in the forest, became stunt daredevils on the quad-bikes, worked together to build a wooden/barrel buggy to ride on and pretended to be Zorro whilst learning to fence. They also had so much fun and laughter on the challenge course rolling and scrabbling on obstacles in the thick mud and water!! In the evening, hoping to wear them out, team games and sports were played till dark, however, despite being exhausted sleep was far from their minds!
All of the staff on the trip said they were a credit to the school. I would also like to say a big thank you to the staff and volunteers who gave their time to ensure the pupils had a fantastic time.
Uniform Orders
If you require a uniform order to be fulfilled this term please ensure the order along with payment are with the school office by Friday 29th June. Any orders received after this day may not be fulfilled until the start of the Autumn term. Uniform order forms are available from both school offices, however the most efficient option is to place your uniform order online using your child’s online payment (Scopay) account.
Summer Sounds Festival
On Friday 6th July, we will be holding our "Summer Sounds Festival". In order to make the event a success, we are looking for volunteers to help run stalls on the day between 3.30-7pm . If you could spare any time to help, please email the PTA at friends@hamsey.surrey.sch.uk
Year 1 & 2 School Trips
If you haven’t already done so, please ensure you return the permission slip and make payment for the upcoming Year 1 & 2 trips to Farnham Museum.
Waitrose ‘Community Matter Box’
There is still time to put your Waitrose tokens in our 'Community Matters Box' in the Sanderstead branch of Waitrose. This will be available until the end of June. Last year we were afforded over £300 through this initiative, so if you shop at Waitrose please do visit the Sanderstead branch and donate your tokens!
