We believe that the learning of a modern foreign language provides a valuable, educational, social and cultural experience for our children. 

Children of Hamsey Green Primary School have been taught Spanish from Year 3 to Year 6.  We aim high to encourage all pupils to have an appreciation of other languages and cultures.  We have always considered the knowledge of modern foreign languages (MFL) to be essential to our children’s education, and we pride ourselves on being able to provide Spanish lessons on a weekly basis to the whole of Key Stage 2. We are also embedding a knowledge of other languages and cultures through our Language Day.

We use the Language Angels to teach Spanish which ensure the progression of skills and builds their vocabulary.
