We are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £159.70 at our MacMillan Coffee Morning last week! A huge thank you to everyone who supported this event!

 

Teacher run clubs

All teacher run clubs commence next week. We are pleased to confirm that unless you have been contacted by the school office, your child has been allocated a space in the club(s) applied for.

 

Parents Evening

Letters regarding parents evening have been emailed out to parents today containing full details on how to book your appointment(s). All after school clubs will be running as normal on these days.

 

Year 6 Parents

The deadline for applying for Secondary schools is Tuesday 31^st October 2018.  Parents should apply to their local authority. (The authority you pay your council tax to.)

 

Phonics Workshop – Re-scheduled

The Early Years Phonics Workshop which was due to take place on Monday 15^th October is to be rescheduled. Please look out for further details in both Stop Press and the School Calendar section on our website.

 

Attendance

As the colder weather sets in and viruses arise, please may we remind parents that it is ok for children to attend school with mild coughs & colds, and children should only be kept off school if they have extreme symptoms such as high temperature or sickness or have been advised to do so by a doctor. If your child has sickness and/or diarrhoea they should not return to school until they have been clear of sickness for 48 hours.

 

Treasurer required for PTA

There is currently a vacancy for the position of Treasurer within the PTA.  The Treasurer is responsible for managing and reconciling the finances, reporting the financial position back to the PTA and organising the floats and takings before and after events.  If you feel that you could fill this position or would like any further details, please contact the friends by emailing friends@hamsey.surrey.sch.uk
